Guest Post: Only Half Dressed.

12 Dec

Hi everyone 🙂 Today we are kicking off my series of guest posts with the lovely Laura from Only Half Dressed! She’ll be sharing a couple of her biggest fears with us. Enjoy!

Hey! I’m so pleased to be doing this blog post and I hope you all like it! When the lovely Amy asked me to do a guest post for her whilst she’s recovering from surgery (thinking of you! Hope it’s all going well!), it got me thinking about things that scare me. So I thought I would share with you my two biggest fears, they are pretty standard ones but I’m going to try and explain why… maybe if I can figured that out myself.

Heights

I told you they are really standard fears. But this heights thing that I have is more limited than just being scared of hieghts in general. I used to LOVE heights as a child, I’d climb on top of the shed and help my Dad do some painting or sorting out the roof, not a problem. As I got older heights started to make me uneasy, however as long as I have something to hold on to I’m perfectly fine. I can climb high ropes courses and walk along a rope 10m up as long as there is a rope for me to hold, however walking a long a beam two metre above the ground with nothing to hold on to WILL freak me out.

Spiders

This picture actually makes me shiver it’s so horrible. I have a picture from when I was about 7 and I’m holding a tarantula at a zoo and now the tiniest house spider will make me scream. I’m not quite sure how it happened or whether my Mums fear has been passed onto me but it’s there and it sends me screaming for my Dad at the slightest glimpse of a spider. Those are the main fears that I have, I have heaps of others too, basically anything that flies around my head, bugs in general and the dark. Actually the dark probably should of been one of those main two up there because I’m the biggest scardy cat when it comes to the dark! So tell me what are you scared of the most?

Oh dear I didn’t know you had a surgery Amy, get well soon!

The height picture freaks me out. I’m scared of heights too. Spiders are creepy too. I don’t like the hairy legs especially when they suddenly land on your arms.

Great guest post. I used to be so scared of Spiders, but got over it as soon as I realised my fear of mice was much bigger.
