Playing Dress Up.

5 Dec

Last week we received a very special invite from our Korean friends, Amy and Rin, to dine at their parents house. The bulgogi spread their mother put on was simply divine, and she went out of her way to cater for my awkward need for no spice, just a little snippet of the welcoming and kind nature of this culture. After dinner, Amy and Rin wanted us to try on their traditional Korean dress- or Hanbok- and we so were excited to be their dolls for a little while. The vibrant colours of all the outfits, and the simple (rather unflattering) lines are all intriguing to me. While I wouldn’t invest in on for daily use (they are really not designed for the curvy girl!) it was exciting to be able to feel like a Korean does on her wedding day, if only for an hour. Thank you friends!
