Can you tell my teeth are chattering? I bet you can’t, because I really am the best actress in the world. I will admit, when my better half suggested taking some pictures at the seaside this morning, I was all for it. Now I realise he just wanted me to get frostbite or trench foot or something. That’s ok though, because I love the seaside, no matter how cold it is. I find it so soothing. Maybe I was a dolphin in a past life. Or a tuna.

I didn’t really fall in love at the seaside, but I had that old Kooks song in my head on our jaunt today. Really, I fell in love in a grungy bar in South Korea that you had to walk down gross stairs to get to. What can I say, he wooed me over a pint of lager as we stood next to a darts machine. Beautiful story, eh? Have you got any romantic stories about how you met your other half? My brother met his gorgeous wife on an aeroplane, I like that story. Ours isn’t quite so romantic, although I do relish in the fact that I fell for a fellow Brit on the other side of the world. Weird to think if we had both stayed in our native England, our paths would probably never have crossed. Tell me your story. Go on.

Oh man. I have spent today packing up my life once again. You’d think I enjoy it, the amount of times I do it. I truly don’t. I am sleep deprived and grumpy. But I still like life and I’m excited for our next big adventure.

I got my hair trimmed while up in Sunny Scotland yesterday. I was very close to telling her to chop it all off, but I wussed out, because I really am a great big wuss.

So, it seems when I do boring things like pack I wear big comfy jumpers and flowers in my hair and on my legs for no particular reason whatsover. Isn’t it wonderful? I thought so. And my fabulous man bought me this awesome scrabble necklace with an ‘A’ on it, just in case I forget my name is Amy. I must admit, I’m pretty gutted my letter is only worth one point. I don’t know why my parents didn’t think more carefully about what a poorly scoring name ‘Amy’ would be on scrabble, and instead call me something like ‘Xenosa’. Food for thought.

Anyway, I’m babbling. It’s the sleep deprivation. Hope y’all are well.

Today I popped into Liverpool to see couple of my lovely friends I met in South Korea. I always enjoy my little trips to Beatles land. In fact I’ve been to the Beatles museum enough times to not really require the head phones and narrative any more.

Here are a few s from our drink in the Cavern pub and visit to the Tate gallery where they had some ace stuff on show. Yes, that second one really is a s**t load of bread with bodies bitten out of it.

There you go then, that was ‘A Day in the Life’ of me. We’ve been very busy recently, zooming up and down the country seeing our loved ones before we flee the country again. I really am a ‘Day Tripper’; an awfully tired ‘Day Tripper’. And tomorrow we are heading up to Scotland for a long weekend. ‘I’ve Got a Feeling’ it’s going to be amazing. I know in my last post I was kissing the a** of my natural curly hair- well things change. And as my boyfriend kindly reminded me the other day, I’m a Gemini, and thus have a split personality. He is a charmer, isn’t he?! Anyway, I had a real tough morning, and decided to straighten those bad boys. It revealed another reason why I always leave it curly– I seriously need a hair cut. It’s on the ‘to-do’ list now. Saying that, it’s nice to have a change sometimes, and ‘tame the mane’ with my ghds. Which do you prefer- curly or straight?

What do you reckon of my tee? The nice people at Social Wear made this t-shirt for me. My graphic designer sister, Miss Moco, helped them with some of their designs, and I have to say, I love how it’s turned out. It is a picture of me and my fam in California a few months ago. Cute, huh? Hope everyone is having a swell week so far.

Blimey, it’s pretty damn chilly here at the moment. Although, it is gravel and not snow on the ground. Fooled you. The cold cold weather was the point of the first picture– I was trying to show you my breath. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. Instead you can see my awesome curly wurly hair.

I must admit- when I was younger, I hated these curls that my mother supplied me with. I did my very best to straighten out every last ringlet every day of my boring little teenage life. Now though, I enbrace my curls. Mainly because they are amazing, and also because I am lazy, and they ping up like this naturally when I get out the shower. I want luscious long locks. I’ve been growing this mane since I was 18 (the Karen O bowl cut saga) and yet it’s still no way near my desired length. It sucks.

Anyway. It’s cold. And I have curly hair. And it’s February. Can you believe the time has passed so fast? Me neither.

Happy Belated Burns Night everyone!

Yesterday was the wonderful Scottish holiday Burns Night, to celebrate the birthday of poet Robert Burns, in case you didn’t know. My Mum is Scottish, and my Dad will make any excuse to eat some meat, so we toasted to Burns’ poem Address to a Haggis with a glass of whisky. Then we ate a haggis. Have you tried haggis before? I have to admit I hadn’t, and the idea of eating a sheeps stomach was enough to turn mine. However, I gave it a go, and it was pretty damn tasty (if not a wee bit too spicy for me).

I keep seeing bloggers wearing tartan recently– I hope they all respected the tradition and adorned themselves for the occasion! I just went for this super cozy blanket/scarf/ cardigan thing. I don’t know what it’s called really- apart from awesome. Any suggestions?

This morning I went to the hospital for my final appointment and to hand back those crutches. The man kindly explained once more what exactly they did to me, as last time he tried to I was in recovery and was letting the anesthesia and morphine do its thang.  To be fair, hearing it completely sober didn’t enlighten me too much but I did see some pictures from inside my ankle. And he told me they drilled my bone with some fake cartilage and took all the excess scar tissue away from it. Fun, huh?

Right now I have a very important date with a cup of tea. Bye.

I swear there must be some kind of law about doing outfit photos during winter. Like- ‘Under no circumstances should you do it’. Instead, we could just describe what we are wearing in a sensuous and sexy way, and the reader could visualise it. Then, maybe, they could draw what they think the outfit would look like. That would be fun, wouldn’t it?

Anyway. I finished my 120 hour advanced TEFL course this week. And I got a distinction. You know what that means? I am badass and awesome very hard-working and a swot. We also accepted jobs on Jeju island. That means another year in the land of Korea and Kimchi*. I’m quite excited to live on a volcanic island really– I love lava and beaches.

Do you like my new scarf? My boyfriend’s Gran knitted for me in the colours of my favourite football (soccer) team, Aston Villa, and I love it. She is wonderful.

My sassy blogging friend Ashley from Two Eyes in the Mirror set herself a challenge to wear more of her coloured tights. I read her post and it made me smile– I have so many pairs of coloured tights and I wear them all the time. I don’t half get funny looks, but I don’t care. These white tights are from the kids section of M&S, so it’s a double win really.

You know how cameras have a blink detector? I think I need some genius to do a stupid feet detector on my camera. Why I automatically point my feet together, I’ll never know.

I also wish I could have a wrinkle detector. You wouldn’t think at the tender age of 22 I’d have so many lines on my fore(or six)head. I tell you, before I started teaching I looked so much more youthful.

And those bags under my eyes? Seriously, I sleep about 10 hours a night. Pfft. I really need to learn how to edit my photos. Or my face.

Anyway, I digress. Life is moving very slowly at the moment. I am doing anything I can to avoid completing my online course, and the deadline is coming closer and closer. I am the Queen of procrastinating. And spending money I don’t have. Put the two together and what do you get? Online shopping. YAY.

Hello all. I shan’t stay long as today is my boyfriend’s birthday. The big 2-6, don’t cha know. While he spends some time playing with his portable playstation (yes, I said 26) I thought I’d pop by and say hello.

Argggghhh. The mega-elipsis comes from what just happened. Said boyfriend just dropped said Playstation on my bad ankle. You know the one I just had surgery on? Yes, that one. Looks like that colourful bruising will be rearing its ugly ankle again. He’s lucky it’s his birthday and so I can’t really be mad. Excuse me while I go lay-down. Laters.
